Jennifer Lessick is a first-year graduate student in the Master of Environmental Studies program, concentrating in Environmental Sustainability. She has a B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University where she concentrated in Environmental Studies and minored in Geography and Sustainability.


Jennifer is interested in international development coupled with sustainable cities and environmental responsibility. Her case study on sustainable water systems in Antananarivo, Madagascar appears in “Capital Cities and Urban Sustainability,” published in April 2019.  Jennifer’s past work at World Resources Institute in Washington, DC has also drawn her attention to international development opportunities to implement sustainable solutions as we near 2030, something that she will focus on through her coursework at Penn.
For fun, Jennifer likes to watch movies, hike, try new restaurants, and travel with friends and family.
